The latest entry in the annual Shudder produced anthology series of films, this time it’s mostly about aliens. It’s 5 short stories (and a framing device story that’s really the weakest of them all) that vary quite a bit in their quality. They’re all “Found footage” style films, so if you don’t like the shakey cams, you’re gonna have a bad time.
The segments are all actually pretty good. They’re definitely low budget so you have to forgive some of the effects, but they manage to work with what they have and keep the scope of the stories small enough that they work well.
The acting isn’t anything to write home about, but they sell what they need to and keep the story moving along without being distracting, so no complaints.
Overall, another successful entry in a fun series of films.
