Daisy Ridley heads to Tasmania after a military accident kills everyone on the island and some people are zombie-ish types. This feels like a late, LATE stage zombie craze indie movie that carries a very heavy and moody atmosphere that really tries to allows you to think about the people BEHIND the mouth full of gnashing teeth, when really it just makes the movie boring and probably very forgettable.
There are a few things it does well (the zombies aren’t quite mindless, until they are; the military containment of the island adding extra danger to the trip), but mostly it’s just the same kind of stuff you’ve seen before. It’s well made but (at least) 15 years too late.
