A group of people kidnap a rich guy’s daughter and she turns out to be more than they bargained for. It’s a pretty well constructed movie that doesn’t try to do too much or be too gimmicky. The characters are interesting but a little too much like caricatures that it pushes them into cartoony feeling, but it still works with the level of ambition the movie is going for.
I really wanted to like this movie more than I did, and I think I might have really like it IF I didn’t know the big important piece of information that’s all over the marketing. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to advertise this without giving away the early twist, but thankfully it has enough substance after the reveal to carry it across the finish line.
