I forgot that Ready or Not had, like, the devil and people blowing up from magic so I was thinking that I would just watch a woman get hunted by rich people again, but this one really leans into the devil worshipper cabal. See, after killing the rich family in the first one, turns out a power vacuum was created and how else do the satanists choose their next leader? But hunting a woman! This time, however, her sister is there and lots of violence ensues.
This movie thrives on the strength of its characters and it knows it. The in-fighting and backstabbing drives the plot and keeps the movie from just being a stale rehash of the first one.
There are some holes that had me scratching my head, especially towards the end, but it’s such a fun time, I didn’t really care.
