It doesn’t really have any scary parts to get close. It’s a sci-fi action movie that relies heavily on robots fighting and has a plot that tries to make a big message about AI and how dangerous it is, but is it really? I don’t know what it’s trying to say and neither does the movie, really. The movie has some cool plot points that fall right through the plot holes and there are some cool action scene shots, but the attempts at humor are lame, so it’s a net loss. The most enjoyable thing is the not quite evil but still an asshole lines M3GAN delivers, it’s kind of derivative of GLADoS anyway, but, I guess it’s worth an extra point.

2 out of 5

M3GAN 2.0 (2025) on IMDB

Back to Home

I hope this year won’t be the year of bad sequels, but so far I’m 2 for 2.
